The FLAVA Project, cultivated and curated by renowned dancer and hip hop teacher, Ava Bernstine, presents “The Ladies of Hip Hop”; a workshop designed to celebrate the future of hip hop while honoring the past and the present. While focused on intermediate and advanced level training, our workshops feature hip hop foundations classes as well as teachers from the next generation. We are unique with a diverse, well known and experienced all female faculty who bring trend setting, quality, and rudimentary training to the students, while keeping it fresh and fun.
In a male dominated genre, these ladies are making noise and holding it down in hip hop. Though there have always been heavy hitters in the game, the female presence has never been more ubiquitous and the influence and voice never louder. No better time than now to highlight the strength, fierceness and flyness of women in hip hop.
